The Introduction of Ghaleh Bid Mine
The Introduction of Ghaleh Bid Mine
The Ghaleh Bid Mine is the only magnesite mine in the province, containing two types of magnesite: cauliflower magnesite and vein magnesite. Vein magnesite makes up approximately 30 to 35 percent of the mine's reserves, while the cauliflower and super types account for around 60 to 65 percent of the reserves
The Ghaleh Bid magnesite mine is the largest mine in Iran.

The Ghaleh Bid magnesite mine covers an area of 28 square kilometers, with a length of 16 kilometers and an average width of 1.75 kilometers. Magnesite mineralization has occurred throughout the entire 16-kilometer length of the mine, and evidence of this, including trenches and working faces, is clearly visible
It is equipped with full facilities and services for magnesite extraction.

Currently, a 300-meter-long extraction workshop is active, producing 100 tons of marketable processed magnesite daily

Introduction to Onyx Mining Consultancy

The company is the operator of the Ghaleh Bid magnesite mine and was established in 2015 by several graduates in Earth Sciences. Its primary goal is the exploration, extraction, and processing of mineral resources.
The company’s initial aim was to conduct exploration activities, followed by extraction from mineral-rich areas with significant reserves. One of the company’s major projects is the Ghaleh Bid magnesite mine.

Why U.S ?

Since magnesite is a unique mineral in Iran and is found only in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan and South Khorasan, the reserves in Sistan and Baluchestan are significantly larger than those in South Khorasan. In particular, the Ghaleh Bid magnesite mine, as the largest in Iran, holds nearly half of the country’s magnesite reserves and can play a crucial role in supplying magnesite products and refractory materials for the country.

The Ghaleh Bid mine spans 28 square kilometers, with a length of 16 kilometers and an average width of 1.75 kilometers. Magnesite mineralization occurs along the entire 16-kilometer length of the mine, with evidence such as trenches, working faces, and other visible signs of the mineral presence.

Ghaleh Bid is the only mine that contains all types of magnesite, including cauliflower, vein, and secondary types—something no other mine in the country has. In this mine, there is a 7-kilometer-long area with an average width of 100 meters, an average depth of 50 to 60 meters, and a 15% average frequency of cauliflower magnesite, which alone holds nearly 15 million tons of reserves. The grade of this type of magnesite ranges from 88% to 95%.
